SPANISH NIGHT FUNDRAISER - Sunday, February 28th

Our biggest fundraiser of the year is soon approaching. There are some great plans in place for the evening including a wonderful dinner at the Prado, a complementary glass of sangria, wine, entertainment, a silent auction and a live auction conducted by Richard Hauk. There are wonderful items up for bid such as a Condo in Colorado, Southwest Airlines flight tickets, a Disneyland Package, Theater Passes, Dance Classes and much more.  We still need your help on acquiring items for the auction – please see below for more info.

If you would like to purchase tickets for the Spanish Night event, you can now do so online at http://spanishnightatmuseumschool.blogspot.com/

TWO EXCITING OPPORTUNITY DRAWS FOR SPANISH NIGHT!!!

WIN A TRIP TO SPAIN!!!

A limit of just 125 tickets will be sold at $100 a piece for an amazing opportunity to win a trip to Barcelona and Madrid complete with airfare, hotel and first class rail transportation in between the two magnificent cities. (Click here for Promotional Materials) (Click here for Package Details) That means for each ticket purchased, you will have a one in 125 opportunity to win this great trip for two persons. Tickets can be purchased in the school office through Jane Perry . Of course, proceeds from this opportunity draw will benefit the Museum School, and you need not be present at the event to win. Remember, this opportunity is limited to 125 tickets, please don’t wait to get your tickets!

OPPORTUNITY DRAW FOR $1000!

Tickets can be purchased for just $10 for the opportunity to win $1000. The drawing will be held the night of the event, but you do not have to be present to win.  Tickets will be on sale throughout December, January and February at school, and then at the event itself. If you would like to take numerous tickets to sell at an event to colleagues and friends, please check in with Jane in the office. Payment must be received before we provide tickets. Our goal is to sell at least 7 tickets per child in the school. If we do, then this can bring in $10,000 alone!

CALL FOR DONATIONS

Spanish Night will be our primary fundraiser for the year, and we need a very successful event to meet our yearly fundraising goals. You can make a huge difference by asking friends, associates, or businesses that you regularly patronize to donate either a product or service. These donations make up the bulk of our Auction and Drawing items, which brings in the lion’s share of our fundraising. We need everyone involved to make this event a winner!

We are in need of the following items: Gift Certificates for Restaurants, Spa Treatments, Hair Cuts, Movie Passes, Theater Tickets, Home Depot, Bookstores, Tickets to Sporting Events and whatever you may think of. Simply take this DONOR FORM out with you, and check with your local business.  The worst thing that can happen is they say ‘no’... but most likely they’ll be glad to help if they can.

ABOUT THE MUSEUM SCHOOL

THE MUSEUM SCHOOL is a tuition-free, public charter school that serves
students from all over San Diego in Kindergarten through 6th grade. While
learning to read, write, do mathematics and science, “learning to learn”
is our capstone skill, supported by our “Community Goals” of becoming
responsible citizens, productive workers, creative healthy individuals,
problem solvers and self-directed learners. The Museum School’s
curriculum seeks to go beyond the basics by teaching kids how to
learn and opening opportunities to understand why they are learning.
Project based departments and enriching classes such as art, music,
sewing, movement, and media arts are part of the regular curriculum.

OUR MISSION

The Museum School celebrates, nurtures and enhances the abilities of all
participants through experiential, project-based learning. Infusing the arts
whenever appropriate the Museum School utilizes the wealth of resources
available at local museums and within the San Diego community.
